How we dismantle furniture

Our carpenters first check how each piece is built, because furniture from different makers is assembled differently. They remove doors, drawers, shelves and glass panels first, then separate the main frame into parts. Every part is marked with a code that shows which piece of furniture it belongs to and where it fits. Screws, bolts, hinges and handles are put in labelled bags and packed with the furniture, so nothing gets lost.

Each part is then wrapped in foam and corrugated sheets, with extra protection on corners and edges. Glass panels and mirrors are packed separately in padded cartons or wooden crates.

Reassembly at your new home or office

At the destination, our carpenters reassemble each piece in the room where you want it. Doors and drawers are aligned properly and fittings are tightened. If a piece needs a small adjustment because of the new floor or wall, we take care of it. For office moves, workstations are reassembled according to the new floor plan.

Furniture from online brands and modular systems

Many homes in Surat now have furniture from online brands and modular systems. These often use special fittings that can break if handled wrongly. Our team is familiar with common types of modular and flat-pack furniture, and handles cam locks, dowels and soft-close hinges with care.

When furniture should not be dismantled

Some old, solid wood furniture is joined with glue or nails and can be damaged if taken apart. In such cases our carpenters recommend moving the piece whole with extra wrapping, or taking off only the doors and drawers. We always explain this before starting, so you can decide.

Furniture work without a full move

You do not have to be moving home to use this service. Many customers book our carpenters when rearranging rooms, when a wardrobe has to be moved to another floor, when renovation work needs furniture to be taken apart, or when a new flat needs furniture from a showroom assembled. We provide the carpenter, tools and wrapping material as needed.
