Terms and Conditions

These terms apply to all packing, moving, transport, vehicle transport and storage services provided by Reliable Packers and Movers, Surat, Gujarat ("we", "us"). By confirming a booking, you ("the customer") agree to these terms. The written quotation and these terms together form the agreement between us.

1. Quotation and booking

• Quotes are based on the survey, the list of goods, the addresses, floor and lift access, and the moving date shared by you. If any of these change, the quote may be revised and we will inform you before the move.
• A quote is valid for 15 days unless written otherwise.
• A booking is confirmed only after the advance payment mentioned in the quote is received.

2. Charges and payment

• The quote lists what is included, such as packing material, labour, transport, loading, unloading and unpacking. Anything not listed (for example, extra items, extra floors without a lift, waiting time, society or parking charges, octroi or toll changes, or carpentry work) may be charged extra at the agreed rates.
• GST is charged as applicable. A GST invoice is issued for every booking.
• For local moves, the balance is payable on completion. For intercity moves, the balance is payable before unloading at destination, unless agreed otherwise in writing.

3. Customer responsibilities

• Share a correct and complete list of goods. Declare high-value items before packing.
• Keep cash, jewellery, important documents, medicines and other valuables with you. We are not responsible for these items if they are packed with household goods.
• Do not hand over illegal goods, hazardous material, gas cylinders with gas, inflammable liquids, perishable food or live animals and plants for transport. We may refuse such items.
• Arrange permissions from your housing society, building or office for loading and unloading.
• Be present (or have a representative present) at pickup and delivery to check the goods.
• For car and bike transport, hand over valid RC and insurance copies, and keep fuel to a minimum.

4. Our responsibilities

• Pack and handle goods with reasonable care, using suitable packing material.
• Transport goods in suitable vehicles and deliver them within the agreed time, except for delays caused by events beyond our control.
• Provide a list of packed cartons and items (inventory) at pickup.

5. Damage, loss and insurance

• We recommend transit insurance for intercity moves and high-value goods. Insurance is arranged through an insurance company at the premium mentioned in the quote, and claims are settled as per the insurer's terms.
• Without insurance, our liability for proven damage or loss caused by our negligence is limited to the amount stated in the quotation, or repair of the damaged item, whichever is lower.
• Any damage or shortage must be noted on the delivery receipt at the time of delivery and reported to us in writing within 48 hours, with photos.
• We are not responsible for internal or mechanical faults of electronics and appliances where there is no external damage, for items packed by the customer, or for normal wear such as minor scratches on old furniture.

6. Delays and events beyond our control

We are not liable for delays or damage caused by natural disasters, floods, heavy rain, accidents caused by others, strikes, road closures, government orders, check-post delays or other events beyond our reasonable control. We will keep you informed and do our best to reduce the delay.

7. Storage

Goods kept in our warehouse are stored at the agreed monthly rate, payable in advance. If storage charges remain unpaid for more than 90 days after written reminders, we may recover the dues as allowed by law.

8. Cancellation and rescheduling

Cancellation, rescheduling and refunds are governed by our Cancellation and Refund Policy.

9. Disputes

We will try to resolve any complaint quickly and fairly. If a dispute cannot be resolved, it will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts in Surat, Gujarat.
