This Privacy Policy explains how Reliable Packers and Movers ("we", "us", "our"), with its head office in Surat, Gujarat, collects, uses and protects the personal information you share with us through this website, by phone, on WhatsApp or by email. By using our website or services you agree to this policy.

1. Information we collect

• Details you give us: your name, mobile number, email address, pickup and delivery locations, moving date, type and size of the move, and any message you send.
• Details needed to do the move: full addresses, an inventory of goods, declared value of goods for insurance, vehicle documents for car or bike transport, and ID or GST details where the law requires it.
• Technical information sent with a form: IP address, browser type, the page you sent the form from and campaign details (such as UTM tags or a Google Ads click ID) if you came from an advertisement. We use this to prevent spam and to understand which channels bring enquiries.
• Button clicks: when you tap Call, WhatsApp, Get Quote or Request a callback, we record the type of button, the page, where the button was (for example the bottom bar) and whether you use a mobile or a computer. We do not store your IP address for this: we keep only a one-way code (a "hash") made from it, which cannot be turned back into the address. It is used to stop automated abuse and to count clicks.
• Website analytics: if analytics is switched on, Google Analytics 4 records anonymous usage such as pages viewed, approximate location, device type and the events above (for example that a quote form was sent). We never send your name, phone number or email address to Google Analytics.

2. How we use your information

• To call or message you about your enquiry and send you a quote.
• To plan, carry out and track your move, and to issue invoices and receipts.
• To arrange transit insurance when you ask for it.
• To answer your questions and handle complaints or claims.
• To improve our website and services, and to protect our website from misuse.
• To meet legal, tax and accounting requirements.

We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone. We do not send you promotional messages unless you agree to receive them, and you can ask us to stop at any time.

3. Sharing your information

We share only what is needed, and only with:

• Our staff, drivers and partner transport agencies who carry out your move.
• Insurance companies, when you choose transit insurance.
• Service providers that run our website, email and phone systems, under confidentiality.
• Government authorities, when the law requires it.

4. Cookies and analytics

Our website uses a small session cookie to keep forms secure and to remember how you arrived at the website (for example from an advertisement). It is deleted when you close your browser.

When analytics is switched on, Google Analytics 4 (and, if we run ads, Google Ads conversion tracking) sets its own cookies to count visits and enquiries. Google processes this data under its own privacy policy (policies.google.com/privacy). You can block these cookies in your browser settings or with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on; the website keeps working without them.

5. How long we keep your information

• Enquiries (form details): up to 3 years, then deleted or anonymised.
• Booking and invoice records: as long as tax laws require (usually 8 years).
• Button click records (with the hashed IP): 13 months, then deleted automatically.
• Website error and security logs: 30 days.
• Google Analytics data: as set in our Google Analytics account (we use 14 months).
• Backups: daily backups are kept for 14 days and weekly backups for 8 weeks, in a private folder on our server. Deleted information disappears from the backups when they are replaced.

6. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including secure (HTTPS) connections and limited staff access. No method of transmission over the internet is 100 percent secure, but we work to protect your data.

7. Your rights and how to ask for deletion

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal information, or withdraw your consent.

To ask, email or call us using the details below with the name and mobile number you used. We may ask you to confirm the request from that number. We will reply within a reasonable time, delete your enquiry from our website records, and tell you if we must keep anything by law (for example invoices). Copies in backups are removed automatically within 8 weeks.

8. Children

Our services are meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 18.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page with the updated date.
